Eisner, Inkpot, Bram Stoker and International Horror Guild award winner Dave Dorman is beloved by fans worldwide as a visual storyteller—an artist, creator, toy designer, and mentor in the comics industry, joins Carlos Phoenix on The Lounge Network as our first illustrative artist guest.
We discuss his beginnings, from his first pro illustration to his techniques and what his future is the new world of comics and illustration.
We cover his thoughts of the Star Wars move to Marvel and get his view on what he thinks is good for the franchise.
Dave Dorman is doing art currently for Wizards of the Coast’s updated Dungeons and Dragons and is reworking his story on RAIL of his The Wasted Lands stories. His initial graphic novel RAIL: BROKEN THINGS — A Tale of the Wasted Lands initially sold 20,000 issues without minimal promotion through publisher Image Comics.
Dorman is an Eisner and Inkpot Award-winning artist for his contributions to the comic book industry (the comic book industry’s Oscar Award), and has been a featured guest many times at San Diego Comic-Con where he exhibits yearly in Booth #4500. Dave has been a judge for the prestigious Spectrum Annual and his art has been chosen for inclusion every year he has submitted.
